v1.2.0 — Project Swap & Mobile Fixes

Another update, another changelog. Here’s what happened.

Projects — Cleaned House

Removed the three pinned projects that were on the homepage (lyedevgit.github.io, untitled, Lye-RedTeaming). They were either outdated or just not it anymore.

Replaced them with:

  • LyeNothing Personal Site — a free, open-source portfolio template built with Astro. Has a live demo, full README as project content, and a proper banner. This is the one I actually want to showcase.
  • Two placeholders — future projects coming soon. They’re there so the grid doesn’t look empty.

Projects count updated from 6 to 1. Just the one that matters.

Mobile — Actually Scrollable Now

The site was broken on mobile. You literally couldn’t scroll past the blogs section. Turns out the Lenis smooth scroll library was wrapping DOM elements and breaking native touch scrolling, while every parent container had overflow: hidden stacked three layers deep.

Fixed it by:

  • Skipping Lenis entirely on mobile (it’s only useful for desktop wheel smoothing anyway)
  • Removing height constraints and overflow hidden from the shell containers on mobile via CSS media queries
  • The whole page now scrolls natively on phones — just like a normal site

Mobile Nav — Visible Now

The top navigation bar was cutting off on mobile. Five tabs, a separator, and a GitHub icon all crammed into one row on a small screen. Subtitle, tabs, everything was overflowing.

Fixed by hiding the subtitle (“The Jack of All Trades”) on mobile, tightening the tab spacing, and keeping a clean separator between the brand name and tabs.

What’s Still Under Construction

The site isn’t done. Two placeholder projects are sitting in the pinned section waiting to be filled. More blog posts, more content, more refinement. It’s a portfolio, not a finished product — it evolves.

That’s v1.2.0. More coming.
